Golden's Fine Arts Festival

Aug 18-Aug 19 2012
Located in historic downtown Golden on 11th Street, just west of Washington Avenue between Arapahoe and Maple Streets
Golden, Colorado 80401

Historically, more than 35,000 people come to Golden each year for the annual Golden Fine Arts Festival, which has been ranked by Sunset magazine as one of the best fine arts festivals in the country. This juried art festival doubles as an open air art gallery in the gorgeous foothills setting adjacent to Clear Creek.

The festival, and its popularity can be traced to the quality and affordability of the art on display, as well as the breathtaking scenery in Golden.  Traditionally, the festival hosts over 130 artists, with 70% of those participating from Colorado. The artists feature work in a variety of media, including ceramic arts, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography and sculpture.  Prizes are awarded to the artists in eight different categories.

There's plenty of FREE parking in Golden's two parking structures.  Admission to the Golden Fine Arts Festival is FREE, plus there is a special Kid's Art Zone which is always a hit with younger arts patrons, artist demonstrations, free horse-drawn carriage rides through historic downtown Golden, and free musical entertainment.

Numerous events are offered throughout the weekend in galleries and merchants in downtown Golden. For complete details, visit the event’s official website at www.GoldenFineArtsFestival.org
