This year, Saturdays December 3, 10 and 17th the Golden Chamber of Commerce hosts a traditional holiday parade at 11:00am, which includes Santa Claus, local entertainment, Scout troups and more. 

After the parade, festivities continue with strolling musicians, tasty treats and free horse-drawn carriage rides.  It's fun, and it really does make your Christmas shopping more appealing. 

One of the most popular events is the annual Candlelight Walk.  The Candlelight Walk begins at 6:00p.m. on Friday, December 2nd in front of the Foothills Art Center and then moves down Washington Avenue carrying candles and singing Christmas carols.  Once the Candleight Walk group reaches the Golden Visitor's Center, Golden's Mayor flips the switch to light the Christmas tree and ALL of the holiday lights along the Clear Creek walking path.  This elicits gasps of admiration and applause from the crowd of thousands.
