Foothills Art Center is a private non-profit organization founded in 1968 by a group of Golden artists. The mission of Foothills Art Center is to engage and inspire diverse audiences through the exhibition and interpretation of local, regional, and national visual arts. The Art Center offers classes for all ages and abilities, lectures, seminars, and tours. The Holiday Art Market (Nov 8 - Dec 24, 2003) offers fine arts and crafts by over 175 artists. A one-stop holiday shopping experience, the market includes paintings, glasswork, ornaments, pottery, jewelry, wearable art and much, much more! Paintings from the Sangre de Cristos (Nov 8, 2003 - Jan 11, 2004), in FAC II, an invitational of artists inspired by the New Mexico/ Colorado borderlands, including Ann Houston, Rebecca Lee, Lynn Meyers, and Ed Sandoval. Two Brown Bag Lunch Talks with Exhibit Artists are schedule during the exhibition. Fun for all ages.
